At this time Siemens / Siemens Wind Power-Gamesa is in flux and I would discourage people from applying if they want job security and advancement.
Depending on your manager there can be good work/life balance. Though not personally experienced, depending on the composition of the individual's team and manager isolation can occur if you don't speak the local language.
Though in the local salary scale for the position, Siemens tends to pay a bit less than say Vestas or MHI Vestas for the same position.
Training opportunities can come and go depending on your manager and position.
Internal transfers depending on the person and position can "legally" be prevented by the original manager if they feel you are too valuable , this is in company policy and something the individual agrees to if employed. I have known several people prevented of moving on to a new position because of the former and ended up outright leaving.
According to former colleagues the company is experiencing a brain drain, so there opportunities for new individuals to enter company. Again, at this time things are very fluid with positions being posted, but not filled and a major reorganization going on in the organization.
